Last time you got Mr. Fancy-Pants Hobo Sir (a.k.a. ) serving up an OFAY-style commentary--this week you get a fresh helping of "CJ'S NOTES" to go with your meat and taters! (somewhat odd, considering I actually didn't DO anything on this comic, or the crossover as a whole, but oh well)
Part 2 of this ungodly crossover shows exactly WHERE the accidental portal created by Dr. Mi's jury-rigged hairgun leads to--predictably enough, the portal opens up in the "SC dimension", signified by the fact that the comic's template, which was OFAY-styled in the first part, is now SC-style, with text and coloring to match.
Contrary to (un)popular belief, Tails isn't actually playing a DS in the first two panels--it's really a custom-built notebook computer.
David cites this comic as yet another stage in the constant flux of his speech bubbles--note the "tail" at the end of the SC-speech bubbles and new SFX font in Panels 2 and 7.
Notice how Shadow doesn't even bother to look up from his paper--no doubt he's still slightly more bitter/jaded than usual from the whole "Sonikirby" affair a few issues ago (in SC), or (more likely) he just doesn't care. (David wanted to give Shadow a monocle for reading the paper in the first few panels, but forgot.)
Also, the authors developed a way to tell the dialogue of the two characters apart--that is, using the traditional speech bubbles found in each comic. SC-characters get colored-in speech, while OFAY-characters get black-and-white speech.
David has gone on record to state that Panel 3 is one of the hardest scenes he's had to do on ANY comic thus far.
The rest of the comic goes on to focus on the two Sonics, and the differences between the two are actually somewhat significant. Both are somewhat haughty and like running for little to no reason whatsoever--but OFAY Sonic shows some signs of intelligence, while SC Sonic...manages to run facefirst into a stone wall the moment he turns his head.
The two authors have said that the next few issues of the crossover might follow this theme--each focusing on the two versions of one or two specific characters--but nothing has been finalized yet.
NEXT TIME ON SC (vs. OFAY): ...erm...nobody kind of told me yet.

Why do all villains have to delve, at one time or another, into comic book supervillainy, where they be hawkish dicks purely for it's own sake? Why can't I find a villain who just wants some peace and quiet on the weekends?
Another great one! I'm still not sure what Yoshi has to do with it, but hey...

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
